Policeman Showing Brutality with Injured Deer

A policeman allegedly shot an injured deer in Australia alongside a road. The deer got injured while crossing a busy road and collided into a speedy vehicle. Although the driver of vehicle tried to avoid the collision but it was too late for him to react. According to the police officer the deer sustained serious injuries on its leg and consequently failed to stand up after the accident.
Giving the details of the incident, the officer told that it afternoon when his co-officer of policeman received an unknown call from a passerby who informed about the injured deer. They arrived on the spot very shortly and found an injured deer lying on the road. They tried to help the animal got up but it was hard for deer to stand on the feet but could not do so.
Soon after the initial inspection they came to know that one of the front legs of the deer was broken. The deer was in immense pain and the officer decided to carry it to the veterinary hospital for firs aid. They hit the deer with dopy bullet since it was not possible to carry it away in its senses.
The policeman also added that it was necessary to build protection barrier to save wild life from random accidents. He also said that such incidents have become common due to no barrier along with road as both sides of the road were surrounded by vast forest.

The officer claimed that deer would take only few days to recover according to the doctors. He said it was good news for them as they had tried very hard to save the life of injured deer.

At least two police officers were there to help the animal but their effort ended in vain. The police officer told the wild life organization that they receive a call from an unknown number and was informed about the accident.

They reached to the spot immediately after the information and found a young deer there striving to get up. They found that one of its front legs was broken before their arrival and they tried to help it stand but could not do so.

After so many failed efforts to run the deer away from road, the officer decided to shoot it in order to clear the road. The officer told that it was hard for them to shoot such a lovely animal but they were left with n other choice at that time.
The officer also told that the deer was not shot dead and was only hit with a plastic bullet. The officer also told that it was not for the first time that wild life animals came around the road and it has become quite usual for them to handle such situation.

The deer was taken to veterinary hospital for further treatment. The officer told that it was expected that deer would be able to walk after two weeks.
