In 1997 Eddie Guerrero defended his heavy weight championship against Scott Norton. He then lost heavy weight championship against Chris Jherico. He then challenged DDP for the title of “Lord of The Ring”, but he lost that match.
He then challenged again chris jherico again for heavy weight championship. This time Guerrero was able to defeat Jherico.
Guerrero then eyed up to Booker T, before going against Booker T, Eddie fought against his nephew. He beat his nephew and forced him to become his slave. He then went against Booker T but he lost the match against Booker T.
Although he was popular wrestler and was getting success in every form of wrestling but still he was upset that he was not given chance in main wrestling event in WCW. This frustration came to head when he asked Eric Bishop to give him chance in main event. Despite giving him chance he threw a coffee on Guerrero.
Later on Guerrero wrote down in his autobiography that it was just an incident nothing personal. So many people have understanding that Eddie died during wrestling in ring. He died in his room at the Marriot City Centre.
His nephew chavo took him to hospital but it was too late till then. Doctor declared him dead. Reason of his death was heart failure. Guerrero`s wife claimed that he was feeling not well for last couple of weeks. Later on in one episode of WCW his chavo said that Eddie was fit and had no issue with his fitness.
Eduardo Gory “Eddie” Gurerro was Mexican-American wrestler. He bore in 9th October 1967 at Pas, Texas, United States. He born into Gurerro family and wrestled so many professional wrestling in Mexico and in Japan.
He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1985. He then joined university in Mexico. He joined University of New Mexico on an athletic scholarship. It was the time when Eddie started wrestling in college before going to Mexico to become professional wrestler.
In Mexico he wrestled for AAA, teaming up with El Hijo Dil Santo. Then in 1993 he moved to Japan and wrestled there too. He wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling. He was known there second incarnation of Black Tiger. He stepped even further as a successful wrestler when in 1996 he won the juniors heavy weight championship.
Eddie joined Extreme wrestling Championship in 1995 and fought his match against Dean Malenko. He then fought series of match against Dean. He lost his EWC but gained its title back in next match. It was 1-1 so 3rd match was decider. Both them were in ring and fought for more than one hour, but that match ended in draw.
Gurrero made his first entrance in WCW in 1989 as a jobber. He then returned to WCW in 1995 with his follow wrestler Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit. In 1996, Gurrero received several shoots as United States Heavy weight champions against Konnan. In late 1996 he fought against Diamonds Dollars and defeated him.
