Even if the groom is not asking for dowry, the bride’s parents insist they want to give their daughter some dowry.
If they are giving it as good will then it is something really nice. But in most cases, women rights are violated after marriage because girl’s dont bring enough dowr
Sowry system has made the marriage a business deal now. It has become a level of achievement for the boys now a days.
If a boy is well educated and he knows how to talk, he is earning good then the society thinks he deserves to get a car or a house as dowry on his wedding.
More than 33 thousand women are beaten up and the women rights are daily violated because of bringing less dowry or no dowry.
In such case the daughters from poor families have started to lose hope for getting married.
Dowry system is a controversial topic becasue many people claim that it exists in Islam and many people claim that it dont exist in Islam.
Even if it exist in Islam, it can only be for the good will. Dowry doesnt mean that it is must to give dowry.
People have started to black mail the bride’s family in order to get some dowry. Even some people are so much evil that they have adopted it as a profession.
These people marry someone’s daughter to take dowry. Once they have received the dowry, they divorce the girl and move on to the next marriage.
This proves that dowry system is not just a reason for women rights violation but it is also the root of many evils.
