Army chief of Pakistan belongs to a family who have given their whole lives and families to defend the nation. The biggest name in the list is of Shabir Sharif who was given highest military award of Pakistan Nishan e Haider for his bravery against the enemies of Pakistan during war.
Shabir Sharif Shaheed fought with courage and bravery he failed all the plans of Indian army which they were thinking of on that particular front. Now after his martyrdom his brother has risen as the Chief of Army staff and commander of Pakistan Armed Forces.
General Raheel Sharif since has took the charge of Pakistan army has lead very successful operations against the insurgents and terrorists. The Zarb e Azab operation to clean up north and south Waziristaan is undergoing successfully and the hideouts of militants are destroyed

General Raheel with his family paid a visit to the grave of the Shabir Sharif Shaheed in Lahore. This is an interesting fact that why Shabir Sharif wasn’t buried in military graveyard instead in public graveyard. Resources told that during his life time Shabir Sharif has told his mother to bury him here because his friend lies here buried he wanted to be with him after his life was over.
t is said in the book of Lord that those who die in the path of Allah they are not dead they live forever and God gives them from where we can’t even imagine. The status of one martyred in Islam is very high and Quran has clearly mentioned that.
The life of the companions of the Prophet PBUH show us how much they were eager to get martyred and they were always in fore front of every battle which they took part in for Islam and path of God. The current army chief General Raheel Sharif is also a brave man and he belongs to the family of martyred. His brother Major General Shabir Shaheed embraced martyrdom defending this land and the land created in the name of God.
Shabir Sharif was given the highest military medal Nishan e Haider for his brave encounter with the enemies where he wrote history with his blood. Now he rests in the graveyard of Miani Sahab Lahore. He in his life mentioned this place to his mother. And it was wish of Shabir Sharif to be buried there.
