he Geo TV’s show Capital Talk is one of the best shows and highly rated show. The program host Hamid Meer is a known journalist. Hamid Meer is seen as someone who speaks against the establishment and army so is the Geo news. Hamid Meer is a very controversial character.
Hamid Meer had his relations with Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders and his approach was also with Indian agencies. Hamid Meer supported Bangladeshi version of things and he was given award when he was in Bangladesh.
Hamid Meer when was shot in Karachi blamed Pakistani agency ISI for his attempted murder. Hamid Meer is also against PTI and any party who represents the wishes of the people. Geo TV and Hamid Meer are pro Nawaz league.
Hamid Meer conducted his show on the topic of empowerment of woman. The women are given equal rights in Islam and if we observe deeply we see that responsibilities of women and men are different from men. The women are not bound in houses but they are required to dress modestly.
On the other hand the men are ordered to lower their gaze. These commandments are for men and women to follow. The society and the culture of Muslim shows that woman are given much respect than the men.

Muslim countries are under great confusion whether to follow the culture of their own and the western culture. The western culture is about the rights of woman and this slogan is so called. The basic thing which the western society is promoting is not the freedom of woman and their rights but they are only using woman for fulfilment of their desires.
Hamid Mir and Kishmala Tariq discussed the issues of woman freedom and equality in our society. Pakistan is a society which is male dominant and men have to do most of the work. The financial responsibility is on the men to supply the food and security of a family. And woman are generally given responsibility of house hold and upbringing of the children.
Now west based NGOs are always protesting and speaking to empower the woman and give them rights. This creates bit imbalance in the society where the values are different from the west. Hamid Mir during his program was supporting men version of things and Kishmala Tariq was supporting the women version.
