A trick shot is typically played on a billiards table although a snooker table can be used as well if you need the additional size. The balls are set up in a manner that would not usually appear in normal play, such as them all being lined up along the rail, several balls in a curved line or in some other unusual pattern. Many tricks involve the use of props like the rack, additional cues, and stacking balls on chalk. Most players use a special cue like a jump cue or a masse' cue.
