Our media is so much biased and commercial that to gain ratings they will do anything and show anything. Not only this the media groups have become mafia and they carry out propaganda war against each other. So here in Pakistan journalism means the ability to blackmail someone.
Mubashir Luqman also victim of the personal war of two owners of the media. But Mubashir Luqman stood his principal stance. Since the day one Mubashir Luqman has been working against the corruption and mismanagement in the public sector.
Due to Mubashir Luqman his previous channel suffered lots of problems from the government and the geo became their arch rival in fact these two media groups are seen as enemies of each other. The Lahore High Court also banned Mubashir Luqman from doing any program.
But Mubashir Luqman with the help of people of Pakistan who love him and for whom Mubashir Luqman is the only hope they submitted a writ petition against the decision and they challenged the ruling. The Supreme Court ruled in the favor of Mubashir Luqman.
Mubashir Luqman again came back with a bang but this time his channel’s management told him that they cannot sustain more pressure and either Mubashir must stop or he must leave. So Mubashir Luqman decided to leave and joined BOL.
Both Mubashir Luqman and BOL suit each other as both are against the rich elite and corrupt mafia in the media. We hope that Mubashir Luqman helps BOL win the war and BOL helps Mubashir Luqman to be his voice.
Mubashir Luqman has joined BOL when everyone have left the channel. The BOL is under pressure due to the parent company Axact’s involvement in the fake degree case. But the other side of the story is very dark.
Before the announcement of launch of BOL was aired no one knew about Axact and their owners. When Axact announced that they will launch a channel which will represent real Pakistan and this will be a channel which will represent real Pakistani people and wishes it was after that people started noticing Axact and their owners.
The scale at which BOL was being planned to launch was so big that every media house thought that BOL has defeated them before their launch. And if BOL is launched they will lay far behind in the competition. Especially the Jung Geo group and the Express group owners were under lot of pressure and worries.
The BOL management hired the top people from the journalism industry of Pakistan and many of those people who have been working for their parent channels left them and joined BOL. This mean a kind of defeat for example Kamran Khan left Geo after he has been attached with them for 26 years.
So these big tycoons thought to solve this issue and they bribed the government and blackmailed them also to investigate the scandal. At the speed which the FIA raided Axact offices and BOL channel was surprising when compare to Ayaan Ali’s case after 100 days investigation is yet to be completed.
