Guy: "Well, there's a great little coffee shop on 5th Ave. and 8th St. They've got the best cranberry muffins ever! Let's grab a quick coffee. Thursday, 8pm work for you?"

Girl: "OK, blah blah blah"

Guy: "Great! See you then. Don't be late, OK?"

Why this works:

1) "I'm kinda busy right now" - shows that you are busy and you have a life. Also, you are willing to fit her in your busy schedule so she would be smart to say "yes."

2) "Let's grab a quick coffee" - says that you are not asking her to commit to anything except a quick coffee. The first date should be casual, short and sweet. No expensive restaurants or movie dates. Save those for after the relationship has become physical.

3) "Don't be late" - conveys that you're experienced and have been on many dates with women, which is an attractive trait in its own right.

Here's another example of how to talk to a girl on the phone:

Guy: "Hey Yuka, you know who this is?"

Girl: "No, blah blah blah."

Guy: "No worries. I'll remind you. I'm the handsome guy you met in the bookstore.

Girl: "Haha, blah blah blah."

Guy: "Well, there's this great little coffee shop on 5th Ave. and 8th St. They've got the best cranberry muffins ever! You free Thursday night at about 8?"

Girl: "No, I have to blah blah blah."

Guy: "No worries, Yuka. Maybe another time."

Girl: "Well, I'm free on blah blah blah"

Guy: "Hmmm....That might work for me. Let me check and I'll get back to you on that. I'll call you later tonight. Talk to you later".
