Third Gender Wedding

A Eunuch got married in a splendid wedding ceremony held in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. This was for the first time when a wedding ceremony of a Eunuch was made public and people were shocked to know about such marriages. The marriage was held in famous Raja Bazar of Rawalpindi where third gender lives in abundance.

The marriage was celebrated by fellow Eunuchs with great zeal and large members were invited in the ceremony. They the third gender community celebrated the marriage like a traditional weddings of Pakistani society. They managed Mehndi, Mayoun and Barat in a traditional way.

Normally in Pakistan the life of third gender is not disclosed and therefore the Eunuchs remain a secret for most of the people. Their role has been reduced to dance and begging on several social and religious events. The third genders are considered as useless individuals with no productivity

All the segments of wedding were performed like a normal marriage in which traditional mehndi and barat were included. However, the wedding was kept secret from general public to avoid any unpleasant incident.

Third gender is found in every society all across the world with different roles and norms. The third gender is also called Eunuchs in some part of the world and their social status is totally different from men and women in every society. Same is the case with Pakistani society where the Eunuchs are found in abundance and they cannot celebrate wedding like normal human beings.

This gender has been limited to beggary and dancing in festivals unfortunately. Most of the people do not take them seriously and consider them a piece of entertainment. According to the most Pakistanis, the third generation was made to be exploited and they simply have no rights like the other members of society.

Furthermore, majority of the people is unaware of the problems faced by Eunuchs in their daily lives. The Eunuchs are considered useless and needless members of the society and the general perception about them is entirely different from what they actually are.
However, this is not whole truth as the Eunuchs suffer from each tragedy from which a normal man can. The fact is that the third gender faces more problems than a normal gender due to several social hindrances. The third gender is deprived of their basic rights at a national level and no specific institution is working for their betterment and wedding as well.
